About Lions Gate Entertainment Corp.

Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. is a global entertainment company operating across the United States, Canada, and various international markets. Its business activities encompass film, television, subscription-based streaming services, and location-based entertainment experiences. The company structures its operations into three distinct divisions: Motion Picture: This segment is responsible for the creation and filming of feature films. It also acquires distribution rights for these films, both within North America and worldwide. The division handles the North American distribution of its produced and acquired feature films across cinemas, home entertainment formats, and television. Furthermore, it licenses the global distribution rights for its film catalog. Television Production: This division focuses on developing, producing, and distributing a wide array of television content globally, including series, made-for-TV movies, miniseries, and non-fiction programming. It licenses its original Starz series to Starz Networks and its international streaming platform, STARZPLAY International. The segment distributes both its own Starz originals and other licensed television products, and it monetizes music from its television broadcasts through sales and licensing. Additionally, it makes its television movies and series available for sale and rental on physical media and digital platforms. This robust division currently produces, syndicates, and distributes approximately 80 television shows across around 35 different networks, and it also provides talent management services. Media Networks: This segment manages the domestic distribution of STARZ-branded premium subscription video services, reaching audiences through various over-the-top (OTT) platforms and traditional video programming distributors such as cable operators, satellite television providers, and telecommunications companies. It also extends the reach of its STARZ-branded premium subscription video services to international markets via OTT. Established in 1986, Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. maintains its headquarters in Santa Monica, California.
